Accounting Associate

JOB DESCRIPTION

SNELLING is currently working with several client companies seeking experienced accounting and full-charge bookkeeping professionals. We are recruiting for multiple openings that may be temporary, temp-to-hire, or direct hire, depending on the specific role and the candidate’s background.  Our services are offered at no charge to the job seeker and we keep your interest in pursuing a new role confidential.
We are particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate strong tenure in recent accounting or full-charge bookkeeping positions and who value accuracy, consistency, and accountability in their work.
Key Responsibilities (may include):

  • Preparation of financial statements
  • Journal entries and general ledger maintenance
  • Account reconciliations
  • Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
  • Review of contracts and entry of key data into accounting systems
  • 1099 and/or W-2 preparation
  • Vendor setup and maintenance for payment processing
  • Accurate data entry and related accounting support duties

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • Recent experience in an accounting or full-charge bookkeeping role
  • Strong MS Excel skills and the ability to interact professionally with vendors and/or customers
  • Proven record of stable employment and follow-through
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage routine deadlines
  • Willingness to work 100% in-person (no remote or hybrid options)

Compensation:

  • Pay is dependent on experience and the specific position
