JOB DESCRIPTION SNELLING is working with an established and growing company to recruit an experienced Commercial Construction Manager to lead and oversee our commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction project management, demonstrate effective leadership skills, and be proficient in managing large-scale, complex projects from conception to completion. This position will be direct hire, meaning that SNELLING would work with you through the consideration and interview process. If an offer is extended, employment would begin on the client employer’s payroll as their employee.Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute commercial construction projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Team Leadership: Manage on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors; conduct regular meetings, provide clear direction, and maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders. Steel Building Expertise: Leverage experience with customizable steel buildings to evaluate project designs, coordinate material specifications, and oversee the integration of these systems within larger construction projects. Budget & Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, forecast expenditures, and implement cost-control measures to ensure financial efficiency. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety standards; maintain comprehensive records and documentation. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and quality checks, and work collaboratively with engineering and design teams to resolve any issues swiftly. Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Required Qualifications: Proven experience in commercial construction project management, with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing projects. Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal. In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) are a plus. Experience working with customizable steel building systems and an understanding of their unique design and construction requirements. Working Conditions: The role will involve both office-based planning and on-site project supervision. Flexibility to travel to project sites as required.
