SNELLING is seeking an experienced, process-oriented Procurement Manager to join a client in Tyler.  This position oversees purchasing, logistics, and inventory management for an organization that serves the public. This role ensures the efficient acquisition, distribution, and maintenance of equipment, uniforms, and supplies.
  
This Procurement Manager position will be temp-to-hire, meaning that SNELLING would work with you through the consideration and interview process and SNELLING would be your employer for a probationary period upon an offer being accepted.  Pay will depend on experience and be in the range of $25 to $29/hour. 
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead procurement processes, including RFPs, bids, vendor negotiations, and contract management.
• Oversee budget planning, financial tracking, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Supervise logistics staff, ensuring accurate inventory control and timely distribution of supplies.
• Manage vendor relationships, surplus property, and bulk fuel accounts.
• Support emergency operations by coordinating logistics during response efforts.

  Qualifications:

• Associate degree plus 4 years of related experience OR equivalent education/experience combination.
• Prior purchasing experience required.
• Valid Texas driver’s license.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory control systems.

This position requires flexibility, occasional on-call responsibilities, and the ability to work in both office and warehouse environments.
