General Laborer

JOB DESCRIPTION

SNELLING, on behalf of an established construction company, is seeking a dependable General Laborer to join a respected construction company that reclaims and prepares materials for current and future building projects. This position involves outdoor work 100% of the time, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a variety of weather conditions.  Pay will depend on experience and be between $15-17/hr.
  
This Construction Laborer position will be temp-to-hire, meaning that SNELLING would work with you through the consideration and interview process and SNELLING would be your employer for a probationary period upon an offer being accepted. 
  
Responsibilities

  • Clean, sort, and prepare bricks for reuse on active and upcoming construction sites.
  • Gather, move, and stack bricks and related materials safely and efficiently.
  • Operate basic hand tools and cleaning equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow safety procedures and instructions from supervisors.
  • Perform other general labor duties as assigned.

  
Requirements

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
  • Physically capable of bending, stooping, crawling, and lifting materials throughout the day.
  • Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

  
Compensation and Benefits

  • $15.00 to $17.00 per hour, depending on related experience
  • Overtime pay opportunities
