SNELLING is hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk for an established oilfield services company in Longview, TX.  This is more than a transactional A/P role. You’ll start by learning the company’s existing payment and invoice processes and, over time, will be encouraged to refine and build on them. We’re looking for someone proactive—ready to take initiative and contribute to process improvements as you grow in the role.  While this role will begin on a temporary basis, there is potential for a full-time role with the employer.  Pay is $20/hr+, depending on experience. 
Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk:

• Process invoices, vendor statements, and purchase orders with accuracy and timeliness
• Assist with payroll
• Reconcile and verify entries using an ERP system (Navision experience is a plus)
• Resolve discrepancies related to POs, contracts, and payments
• Manage vendor communications and monitor department email
• Assist with monthly reports, vendor discount opportunities, and account analysis
• Support special projects and other accounting functions as needed

  
Qualifications of the Accounts Payable Clerk:

• 2+ years of stable, recent accounts payable or related accounting experience
• HS Diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience working with any ERP system (Navision or Great Plains is a bonus)
• Ability to manage priorities, assisting with multiple projects at once
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision
• Stable work history with professional references
• Prior experience in the oilfield services or industrial sector a plus, as would be expense reporting/reimbursements
