SNELLING is currently seeking candidates with experience in human resources to join a growing local company as an HR Generalist.  In this HR Generalist role, you will perform a variety of human resources related functions including new hire coordination/onboarding, participating in recruiting efforts, revamping how performance evaluation activities are conducted, conducting training/skills enhancement in a variety of topics, advising management on HR related matters, management of personnel files, compliance with applicable regulations (including keeping training records up-to-date), and other related duties.  This HR Generalist role will be provided with general supervision and requires excellent listening/communication and problem-solving skills.

  Qualifications to be considered for the HR Generalist position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field of study is preferred.
  • A combination of relevant HR related experience in a professional services environment and a HR certification such as a PHR, SPHR, etc. is strongly desired.
  • Ability to travel for recruiting and training purposes.
  • Flexibility to work outside of the 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. schedule on occasion.
  • Able to understand and adhere to company policies and practices.
  • Proficiency with standard business software tools, such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate issues, impacts, and corrective actions.
  • Ability to clearly recognize and report relevant information.
