Full Charge Bookkeeper


SNELLING is currently seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper for a client in the Tyler area.  This position will be responsible for accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and analyzing/generating reports.  This opportunity is with a great client that offers a wonderful office environment where their employees are really valued.  They want to find a responsible, independent and reliable partner that they can trust with their financial matters.  Upon hire by the client, this position would offer benefits.

This Full Charge Bookkeeper position will be temp-to-hire, meaning that while SNELLING would work with you through the consideration and interview process and SNELLING would be your employer for a probationary period upon an offer being accepted.

  • Preparation of payroll
  • Accounts payable & receivable
  • Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
  • Preparation of monthly reports and journal entries
  • New vendor setup and maintenance
  • New hire setup and maintenance
  • General ledger maintenance


  • 3 – 5 years of full charge bookkeeping experience
  • 3 plus years of QuickBooks or other accounting software experience
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Ability to effectively present information to appropriate personnel
  • The ability to adapt to and perform a variety of tasks independent of direct supervision
  • Ability to follow directions and have excellent written and oral communication skills
